What's a guided meditation journey? It is a deeply relaxing experience - that helps to calm and heal your inner self. Perfect for the fraught times that we are in. My Half Moon Holistcs healing room, is the perfect environment for you to experience a guided meditation. Once you are settled I talk you through a relaxation technique, e.g. gently tensing and then relaxing your muscles whilst you envisage the tension leaving your body. Next I guide you through an imaginative journey we always start by heading down a path but the journey itself can be tailored to your request. You may wish for your mind to travel to the woods, the forest, the beach, a waterfall, a snowy winter scene with a cosy fire, a far away tropical island or even out in to the cosmos to see the planets! Your dream adventure is the cue to what tale I tell! Whatever your wish I will narrate elements of the journey such as sights, scents and creatures you might encounter. I will embue the tale with feelings of calm and relaxation but I will also leave pauses for you to reflect and let your imagination reign so it becomes your meditation. After you have had a chance to relax and find calm in your special place, I guide you back along the path to where your venture began. I then allow you to come back gradually, taking that sense of calm and relaxation you gained, with you as you carry onwards. If you wish the journey can lead to a place of peace or a place of power for you. And I can teach you how to anchor this place physically through a special action such as pressing your thumb and fingers together. This means that you can re-press your anchor point when you are feeling stressed and return back to the feeling of calm the meditation gave you. This works best if you continue to let your mind travel back to your place of peace when you can - e.g. just before you go to sleep at night. Why is it important to meditate and allow ourselves to reflect and just "be?" We live in a world that is always so busy and go, go, go! There's a sense that we always need to be doing something! However we are human "be"ings and sometimes we need to take time to just "be." Do you ever take time to just look at a candle light, or marvel at the flowers and nature that surround us? Do you ever put on relaxing music and allow it to soothe you? I could teach you lots of techniques to allow your inner tensions melt away and rest your whirring brain! If you are not sure how to meditate then I can give you various ways to relax and unwind and you can discover what works for you best. When we are more relaxed, the brain can then allow our subconscious to work on solving and resolving our problems. Far less effort than whirring!..... ....Also if we give ourselves a chance to reflect on situations, and pull out the positives, then we end up far happier!
